Authentication

Boltch accepts either of two header styles. Both resolve to the same Boltch API key, so you can use whichever your client expects.

OpenAI-compatible (Bearer)

Header
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_BOLTCH_KEY

Anthropic-compatible (x-api-key)

Header
x-api-key: YOUR_BOLTCH_KEY

Smoke test

curl
curl https://api.boltch.cloud/v1/me \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_BOLTCH_KEY"

Sub-keys

Mint sub-keys from the dashboard. Each sub-key authenticates the same way as a primary key. See Sub-Keys for the lifecycle, hard-delete behavior, and the 5-minute show-again window.

Request correlation. Every response carries an X-Request-ID header. Include that value when contacting support about a failed request.
